Medical Herbal Extract Concentration and Drying Process

Vacuum Belt Dryer can realize the continuous feeding and discharging under vacuum condition. It is suitable for drying all kinds of liquid and high viscosity materials, especially thermal sensitivity products, such as traditional Chinese medicine extract, all kinds of plant extracts, carbohydrate, instant tea powder, etc. Vacuum belt dryer is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical, biological products and other industries. It can meet technical requirements of different raw materials by adjusting evaporation temperature, vacuum, drying time and dry powder moisture content according to technical parameters upon characteristics requirement of different raw materials.

Nutraceutical drying machine

For heat sensitive nutraceutical product, the drying process is very crutial to keep the original characteristic.

The liquid or paste materials pumped into the dryer will move forward with the belt and be dried. It bubbles due to the evaporation under vacuum and keeps taking away water and heat. Thus the material becomes loose and porous. The dryer has several heating zones and one cooling zone with temperature adjustable. The discharge end is equipped with scraper and cutting device and transport the dried material to vacuum crushing and granulating system by screw. Meshes of dry powder and particles can be adjusted as per customer requests.

The main body of Vacuum Belt Dryer is a drying cylinder. Inside the body, there are several layers of conveying belts made of imported PTFE, which meet the requirement of food and drug. In order to ensure the running stability of the belts, the dryer is equipped with reliable and accurate rectifying system (the bias of each belt is no more than +/-10mm).

Discharging is realized by several continuous discharge tanks or vacuum suction system. The continuous discharge tank has automatic valve at inlet and outlet with good air tightness. It can ensure the vacuum stability and continuous discharge. The crushed or granulated product is transported to dry powder storage tank. Thus the customer can continue the later process of mixture or packing. The sealed pipe and automatic transportation has prevent the dry powder from any possibility of secondary pollution.

All processes are controlled by PLC and all functions are set and adjusted on touch panel. All signals can be connected to central control system and directly controlled by computers. The dryer has observation windows on body, infeed and discharge side etc.so that the operators can observe the drying situation better.
